Update: Booster Vaccination will be required starting in January 2022
Approved by the board on November 5, 2021
A committee consisting of Valerie Vincent, Simone Spector, Vicky Luibrand, Stephen Popper, Daniel Mirda and Bernhard Ludewigt worked out a set of COVID-19 rules for lodge use with the goal of preventing COVID-19 transmission and to provide a safe environment in the OSC Lodge. The rules draw on best practices drawn from medical and government authorities.
Vaccinations are widely thought to help slow the spread of COVID-19 (in addition to preventing severe illness) and thus are important to protect all who visit the Lodge and our community at large.
These rules are subject to change as the spread in the community may change and as we learn more about COVID-19 and how to control it.
All members and non-members over the age of 12 years planning to use the OSC starting November 25, 2021 need to be fully vaccinated as defined by the CDC. Members and guests have to send in a copy of their vaccination card to the Reservations manager in addition to the signed COVID-19 waiver which many members and guests have already signed.
We highly recommend that children 5–11 get vaccinated and that adults get booster shots when appropriate. The OSC does not require it at this time.
Members who cannot get vaccinated for medical reasons but would like to use the lodge should contact the Winter VP or reservations manager who will investigate if accommodations can be made.
However, please keep in mind that our club and the lodge are run by volunteer members who don’t have the time or resources to manage a system of testing and other controls.
Everyone is to wear a mask inside the lodge at all times except when eating and drinking or in their rooms.
One pod/family will be assigned one room; we will not require sharing of rooms.
There will be two shifts for dinner, one at 6 p.m. (5 pods max) and one at 7:15pm (5 pods max), each pod will have one table, small pods may need to share a table.
If you suspect you may have recently been exposed to COVID, do not visit the Lodge.
Visitors will continue to self administer a symptom check and stay away if they are experiencing any of the common COVID symptoms.
We will have COVID antigen tests available for anyone developing symptoms at the OSC lodge during their stay with either winter VP (weekends) or caretaker (weekdays). If found COVID positive, member(s) need to isolate themselves in their room and leave as soon as reasonably possible.
There should be no more than 3 persons in a bathroom (women’s bathroom downstairs, man’s bathroom upstairs) at any time.
